I think the easiest thing to do would be feed Kobe a hour or so earlier than you do. Then, before going to bed put him out and make sure he does his business. If he still whines at four the next morning, than slowly start to make him hold it for longer periods of time. Like, Monday he wakes up at four, make him wait until four fifteen. Do that through Thursday. On Friday, make him wait until four thirty. Do that through Monday, or so. Tuesday, Probably make him wait until around five. When he starts to get up at the time YOU want him to give him a treat when he wakes or praise him. Or do both, and get a very happy corgi. By the way, I love the name you chose for Kobe!!
