Taylor has been on Hill's Science Diet daily for about four-six months now and he is thriving on the food. He likes it and it likes him. And it goes a long way. He is four years old and gets about three quarters of a measured cup per day as part of a main meal. The usual supplements added are around a dozen diced pieces of cooked meat ( usually sheep/ox/cattle heart and/or tripe), a couple of tablespoons of cooked brown rice and a few pieces of raw veggies and/or lightly boiled carrot. Tonight two of his supplements will be a boiled egg and a toasted piece of nine-grain bread.
When he has consumed all his 18 kg of Hills - which is many months off yet - I will change to Royal Canin which is equally recommended, provides a very wide choice and is another food which meets AAFCO standards, and will help Taylor avoid food tedium.
