Hello All
So NZ is going to be isolated then. Dogs will not be allowed to be shown in the largest dog show in the world Crufts, cannot be sold to European countries to be shown. Cannot be shown in Austrailia nearest country. How is that a success. What is clear that animal welfare issues (they come as a package) are improving in certain countries. In these countries people have assurance over standards of care generally. There are now lots of regulations over every aspect of an animals life. This means I for one will be choosing animals from countries with the highest standards of care not the lowest. That of course includes animals produced for food as well. I want assurances that the lamb I buy has once caught up has been treated humanely. Uk people will want to know why other countries sending products to here get away with lower standards of animal welfare. I say again animal welfare comes as a package across a whole range of issues not just tail docking, which is unnecessary for a corgi. If the home of the Corgi bans docking supported by many many other countries others will follow suit or perish. To all those people in NZ who want dialogue with others and sales lobby your parliament about animal welfare issues.
