I have just received exciting news that the Manawatu City Council in New Zealand is giving local dog training clubs in its area who organise Canine Good Citizen programmes, $15 for each dog registered to participate in the programme. As well the MCC will grant 50% reduction in the annual registration/licence fees each year to the owners of dogs that are qualified CGC. The MCC annual dog reg/lic fees are something in the order of $80 -$100. So the rebate is very substantial: upwards of $50 per year.
