Singing dogs - 08-27-2007, 08:17 PM

A Corgi who howls ( not out of terror or from being ill-treated) goes part of the way to being able to sing along with humans ( who vocalise or play musical instruments) and to certain music they hear.

The New Guinea Singing Dog is unmatched among dog breeds as being the world's most adept as a vocalist. They can reach very high sopranic pitches and can use many different vocal sounds.

If your Corgi is the howling kind, it would be wonderful to encourage his/her talents to utilise them to the sound of music. It's a lot of fun.

By the way the New Guinea Singing Dog is a bit Corgi-like. They are fox-like, pretty, and are a small-medium size dog. Their life expectancy as domestic pets is 15-20 years.
