The more I hear the name Woody the more it sounds quite cute. I still say it better suits a woods breed of dog. But then you could name a Corgi "bull-dozer' and get away with it!

I saw and wrote about Christian Cullen quite a lot and indeed after his terrible injury to his knee/leg he progressively became a shadow of his self. I saw him play local club rugby where several thousand turned up to watch. And it was a little pitiful. He was finished as a great player but still worth a lot of money overseas to muck around. Unfortunately he developed shoulder injuries in Europe that never came right.

And only yesterday, I learnt that he had actually just arrived back in the Kapiti Coast and had brought with him a Boxer-cross who as a stray dog had jumped a fence in Cullen's home in the UK a year or so ago, and Christian and the dog (named Austin) discovered each other. So I phoned the CEO of the NZ Kennel Club and said that Christian might be useful for good publicity for the national dog show (which includes agility) if he is invited on an official capacity. The national show in two weeks will be held locally.
