Sounds like maybe an allergy. It happens every day - clear in the morning and red later? Do they clear up after playtime?
Red eyes are usually caused by either an allergy or an infection. If they are clearing up every day to white - and not watering or running discharge, and he's not pawing at them like they're irritated, my guess would be an allergy. I'd probably call into your vet to see if you should be concerned. Maybe they can suggest an eyedrop...or if it's an allergy your vet might ok Benadryl.
Charlie's eyes are always bright white...but I did ask my vet about the skin on his belly turning hot pink after playing. He said probably a mild grass allergy and wasn't too concerned.
