I think either name is great. Ein is also short for the Welsh name Einion, meaning "Anvil". Not too flattering a translation, but a popular name for a Welsh Corgi.

Looking at Welsh names, I also like the name "Rhys" meaning "ardor, heat of passion"...which I might suggest as a more unique name as well as a great translation for an agility, flyball, or other competitive sports dog.

Congrats on getting your mom's permission. Looking forward to pictures.
