I've noticed during our training sessions that Charlie is much more eager to work for toys as a motivator than for treats. This is the case even first thing in the morning when he hasn't eaten since the previous evening. I think this is interesting since the majority of the dogs I've worked with have been much more food oriented.

I'd be interested in what motivates your dogs to work. Does your dog train better with toys or food treats (or something else)?
