Just a note on tomatoes...the plants and green tomatoes can be toxic to dogs, but red ripe tomatoes are fine. The plant is part of the nightshade family, and green fruit has a toxic alkaloid which is metabolized in the plant when the tomato ripens.

I fenced off my tomato plants this fall because Charlie has to "taste" everything that grows.
