I had a yellow Indian Ringneck male for some years until he (Dandy, after dandelines which he loved) escaped from his cage which blew over in the wind and he was eaten by a cat as he had no fear of the Corgi I had (Hadlee) and therefore thought that cats would be friendly too. Dande made the local newspaper when we lost him for a week and I eventially found him a couple of kilometres down the road - his sharp parrot screech was a giveaway. Dande use to eat out of Hadlee's mouth and play chasing around the floor. I constructed a outside-the-cage perch and 'playground' for Dande. Dande could talk very clearly too, but the green Ringneck I am looking after is something quite special partly because the breeder has put in a lot of effort. The most expensive to buy of the Ringnecks in NZ are the all-blue colour.
