I wish Redwolf the best of luck getting a corgi to bring into your family.
When an individual can adopt or rescue a corgi it is equally satisfying. I find a grown animal has more personality to bring into the mix. They have more good and bad habits too. There are no garrauntees of how a dog will develop whether you get it as a puppy or an adult. I hope this makes sense to someone. I feel adopting is a commitment for life.
