My first inkling is that where she was at, she was being ignored alot, they weren't taking the time to work with her and so she was getting bored. A bored corgi is a dangerous corgi. They find was to attract attention and such.
Is she back home now and why was she with the other family for that time, if you don't mind me asking. I also would suggest getting her spayed as soon as you can. I have a partial feeling that that might have played a roll into it.
Find a good obedience class and get started with her socializing and training there, that should help also.
