By all means.....TRY to ignore it. My husband and I didn't when Duncan was little, so now he is a whiner. Whines for everything and it dones get on your nerves. I can ignore it longer than my husband (must be the mother in me...lol) But, most of the time, it's to go outside, which is a constant thing for him. The funny part is if he is whining and you ignore him, he'll get louder and louder; and if your on the couch he'll actually get in your face and whine the loudest to get your attention. Cracks me up sometimes. Then, when he realizes that your not paying any attention, he does a huff, jumps down and pouts.
