You figured that out, did you? Lol...yup, that would indeed have been my pillow Gloria soaked. But because I'm a typical husband (slob, insensate) I just flipped the pillow over and used the dry side until it was time to wash the cover a few weeks later. After the first few nights even the smell wasn't an issue.
