I'll chime in here.

If you can spend some time surfing for AKC registered names, the Sir and Lady in combination with the Welsh names are extremely common-in many breeds, not just corgis. If the name you have chosen is too close to one already in the data base, then AKC will reject it and ask you to come up with another. Also AKC prefers not to have "The" as the first part of a name, not that they won't allow it but having talked to people in that dept. they highly discourage it. Let's see, they are allowing longer then 27 letters and spaces in the names-that was in one of the latest news articles that was passed to me.

Actually I think it's reallly fun to create a name that makes you think. A golden breeder I know had the "pass" litter. All the puppies had to have "pass" somewhere in their name. One pup is called I'm Gonna Woo Pass--call name Fannie--now take the letters in the same order and create some other words--I'm Gonna Woop ..... get it?

As far as the kennel name, not including it the breeder's kennel in the name, well, don't you feel some sense of pride in where you got your dog from and wouldn't you want to let people know right off the bat where she came from? Yes she is yours, no doubt about that, but not acknowledging the person who let her come into this world.....I think that's what Debbie was trying to say.
