Yep, we got into the vet right away today. We'll have the urinalysis results on Monday, but in the meantime the vet gave us an antibiotic to give Ein twice a day. The vet said it is most likely a bladder infection as a result of stress over the surgery? I can see the stress part because, as I said, Ein hasn't been the least bit calm since we got him home, but I'm not quite understanding how that leads to a bladder infection.

Also, my fiance pointed out as we were leaving the vet's office that there were other bloody urine spots in the snow outside the office that weren't from Ein. Don't know if that means anything, but that kind of irked me nonetheless.

Depending on the UA results, I may take Ein to another vet for a second opinion. I can't find anything online linking stress and bladder infections.
