Charlie had base narrow canines, and I'm still trying to determine if we can avoid expensive orthodontic treatment. Use the Search tab here and look up "base narrow canines" for Charlie's retained baby teeth story and photos.
I would highly recommend having the retained baby teeth pulled as soon as possible, so you can minimize the chance of expensive dental work later. (My vet told me it would be ok to wait over the phone, then when I had them pulled they said they should have pulled the teeth sooner and his teeth might not end up in the right place.) I'd probably move the neutering up sooner so they only put him under anesthesia once.
