There is much more white allowed on a Cardigan than on a Pembroke.

Pems: White is acceptable on legs, chest, neck (either in part or as a collar). muzzle, underparts and as a narrow blaze on head. Very Serious Faults: Whitelies-Body color white, with red or dark markings.
Now if you go to: Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America
You'll find acceptable white markings for a Cardigan, all of which would be considered mismarks in a Pembroke.
