First experience with snow
Ok, so my husbands job offered him a promotion in December. The catch...we would be moving from the only place I have ever known, Little Rock, AR to Joplin, MO. I was very excited until moving day come and the reality set in that I was now going to be over 4 hours away from my home, family and friends. My husband went the first week of January and me and the dogs went the last week of January. It NEVER, hardly ever snows in Little Rock. And, if it does, there is usually ice along with it. We (me and the dogs) have never experienced a "real" snow. Little did I know my whole mild winters world was about to get turned upside down. I always told my husband that I wanted to move somewhere where you get a real winter. The first snow was just a few days after our arrival. At first the girls did not want to go out. The terriers were shaking the snow off their paws with each step they took. It was really funny. Then I notice Lexi...she is rooting her nose in the snow and running around like crazy. She loves the snow! It has snowed often since that first time. The terriers are ok with it now, do their business and sit at the back door waiting to come in. And then you have Lexi, running around not wanting to come in. Last night she sat by the back door and was whining. I had just taken them out not too long before so I ignored her. After she was persistent, nudging my hand and going to the back door, I got up to let her out. I opened the door and it was snowing. She just ran out in the backyard and started playing. She really likes it when I toss snowballs in the air. She tries to catch them and then looks around all confused when they disappear. It's really cute! From what I recall, it was not supposed to snow last night. Weird thing... Everyone at home keeps asking if I am tired of the weather yet. I tell them I'm loving it!! They think I'm crazy.
