I was up at 4am with my Rat Terrier, Daisy, vomiting. Luckily I have some medicing called gastricalm from my vet. They prescribed it to Lexi during our move. She was super stressed, not knowing what was going on, and was throwing up and had the runs. I took her to the vet in fear she had gotten into something while at my parents house. Turns out stress was the culprit. I gave each dog a dose for the long car trip to our new home. I'm not sure what is causing Daisy's problem now. They are supervised outside because we do not have a fenced in yard right now. I don't recall her getting into anything. She has though had a sensitive stomach her whole life (she is 9yrs old). These things seem to come and go every now and then. I started medicating her at about 6am this morning. The vomiting seems to have stopped for now and she is sleeping. I have not found a vet in Joplin yet. But, if I don't see signs of improvement over the today, we will find one in the morning.
I really hope this passes, maybe just being a bug. My husband and I both have been sick this past week with something like the stomach flu. I feel so bad for her and wish I could make her feel better.
