The pound per week rule of thumb works until they hit about six months, then they start hitting near 20 plus pounds and weight gain slows. There aren't marked differences between the two corgi breeds at this point. They begin adding weight a bit more slowly. Growth spurts can happen where they look fine one day and the next will be underweight. Sometimes you might have to increase food to keep up with the spurts (in Cardigans especially). Loosing teeth and their gums hurting can put them off their food a bit. You might want to try moistening Waeryn's food slightly to make it easier to chew.
Pembrokes in "show" condition, the "preferred medium-sized dog of correct bone and substance will weigh approximately 27 pounds, with females approximately 25 pounds." In Cardigans, males will be between 30 to 38 pounds and females 25 to 34 pounds.
