In New Zealand, sultanas are more used than are raisins because they are recommended for deserts/puddings/cakes/biscuits. Sultanas are a type of raisin with a slightly different taste and they are of course from the grape.
Even a small amount of grapes etc can kill a dog yet some dogs are inadvertently fed these things and some other dogs 'raid' the grapes and the grape leaves in the garden and show no short term affect.
