New Corgi Pup "Scoots"... is this normal?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, and a proud new Corgi Owner! I just got my pup yesterday and he just turned 6 weeks old, he is an absolute LOVE and cuter than any animal I've ever seen!
Anyway, I have a couple of questions, I know that Pem. Corgis aren't suposed to have tails, but his was cropped before I got him, which I read is normal, but it's so stinkin short... there's almost nothing there. Does it hurt him? I mean when the Vet chops it? It's so close... just curious.
Now, He is still itty bitty and learning how to get around, he's spent most of his life with his breeder in a small 4' by 4' or so puppy pen, so he is just learning to run, scratch, jump and romp (it's so cute). But when he sits (on our hardwood floor, or our cement porch, and he props up to a sitting position, his butt scoots backward... and he does it every time he sits... is it just a traction problem? Or is he trying to itch his rear? he doesn't drag it like I've had other dogs do, but does anyone elses pup do this?
