Almost every year when I get the new license tags for Duchess or any other dog we have had in the past, I notice the sharp points on the metal. Some tags are in the shape of a star, which has five sharp points. A bell has two sharp ends. I usually file the points down so the animal is not so apt to get an injury from contact. Does anyone else run into this problem? I always mean to complain to the clerk but haven't done so yet. Every year the tag is one of three or more shapes alternating between bone. bell, star. The bone is okay but the other two are dangerous, especially when they are made with thin metal, press cut.
