OK, Although I've only had my Cardigan for a year, and before that I really never paid the breeds that much attention, I have never heard of Corgis referred to as "Wiener Dogs". The Other day when I was walking Snowdon we passed some individuals going in the opposite direction, just as we got out of earshot I distinctly heard one say to the other "what a cute little wiener dog". which at first surprised me, but then it kinda pushed me out of shape!
Not that there's anything wrong with the term "wiener dog", but I had always thought that it was used exclusively with the dachshund.
What would you think if your Corgi was referred to as a "wiener dog"?
