I haven't had anyone call mine a wiener dog but one time when we were traveling I had just put Emma in the car and was calling her "my little hairball" (one of my pet names for her) while shutting my car door. A man was taking his little piece of fluff out of his car. He gave me the evil eye as we were pulling out and it dawned on me he thought I was calling his dog a hairball! He couldn't see Em at all and must think I'm a jerk - good thing Hubby drives fast! LOL
