I'm sure you have all experienced this, but I got so tickled at Charlie today. He weighs 22 pounds. When we go outside I lift him off the recliner and set him down to go out. He weighs 22 pounds. When I pick him up to get into the recliner, he weighs 22 pounds. Same with getting in and out of the car to go somewhere fun for him. 22 pounds.
When he doesn't want to do something he miraculously manages to feel like 35 pounds of dead weight. Today we came back from our walk, and played in the yard awhile. When I wanted us to come inside, Puppy Head was rolling in the grass and didn't come to me, so I went to get him. Upon trying to lift him, he turned into limp dead weight, like a huge sack of sugar. I swear he feels like he gains at least ten pounds when he doesn't want to be picked up. He had the funniest look on his face too (smiling mischieviously at me like he knew he was "making himself heavy")...I just had to laught at him.
