One in five dogs - perhaps higher for Corgis - suffer from arthritis.
Certain factors increase dogs susceptibility to this painful disease.
These include:
1. Genetic predisposition: does not specifically relate to Corgis.
2. Obesity: this is a Corgi problem.
3. Joint abnormalities: hip dysplasia etc
4. Joint stress and trauma: includes injuries that damage ligaments, tissues or bones. High activity and working dogs (farms etc) in demanding repeated stress on their joints.
5. Infections: bacterial, viral and fungal infections on joints; Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever.

Remedies include dermaxx and a host of natural products.
