So sorry for you and Ein. My front door was an escape hatch for Taylor when he was a puppy. And I live by a hilly road with is sometimes used like a race track As well there is a blind corner to contend with.

The Most common cause for broken bones in dogs is car accidents. It is remarkable that Ein does not require surgery and any placement of pins to help the bones knit back together quickly. of course ops are expensive particuarly it seems in the USA. Pays to have Pet Insurance.

Broken pelvic bones are painful so the pain killers will be needed for some time. I hope all goes well and the weeks caged in go by quickly for both you and Ein. Proceed carefully. Don't want any hint of arthritis to settle in for the future.
