I beg to differ. This is another case where assumptions and blanket statements are being made without knowledge of legal obligations and requirements in the US. IF an owner wants their animal euthanized regardless of age, health and even if it is a corgi puppy, then by law the vet is required to do so. That isn't saying vets will not try to talk an owner out of their decision by proposing alternative options such as rescue or volunteering to find a home. It isn't saying either that sometimes vets will sometimes go behind the owner's back and not euthanize the animal if the owner leaves the animal for the procedure to be done later in the day at the vet's convenience. But by law, they are supposed to follow the owner's instructions.

The original owner of this corgi puppy used the ultimate in emotional blackmail - "somebody do something about my dog or I'm going to have it put down." It gets them off the hook responsibility wise (in their convoluted way of thinking) because it isn't their fault, it is everyone else's fault because nobody did anything. They "tried" though.

Thanks for stepping up and in for Toby Debbie. SoCal Pem Rescue is going to be helping you with him correct? Good group of folks.
