Toby
My husband and I picked up Toby two nights ago and kept him overnight. What a delight he is! I delivered him to the rescue the next morning, and was so impressed with how wonderful the situation was going to be for Toby. The lady who gave him up kept calliing and thanking me for helping her. That evening she called again and asked if she could get him back. One of her family members wanted the puppy, and she was getting pressure. I told her Toby was already in the system and all concerned would need to submit an application, as there was already a lot of interest. The next day I received a phone call from her attorney who made it sound like she was taken advantage of, and that I should give her dog back. I stood my ground and did not volunteer any information. Apparently the woman lied about wanting the dog back for herself, she didn't tell him she was planning to give Toby away if she got him back. Later in the day I received a call from my former neighbor who initially contacted me to help this woman. The woman called her to tell her she got her Toby back, and thanks. I just don't get it, all everyone did to help her and Toby, and she basically abused us. Poor Toby.
