Well, better they make dog foods and other products to sell than rely on puppy mill registrations to make money. I know the AKC has lost money once they instituted their "frequently used sires" DNA program. That's when the other registries popped up. (APR, CKC (not Canadian Kennel Club), AKA, etc.)
