Our Betsy would wait for us at the bottom of the stairs until we would come get her. In the morning, I would carry her down so she could go out potty. My husband was afraid that I was going to fall down the steps in the morning while carrying her because I was half groggy myself at 6 a.m. - the ramp that he built her outside was great and like I said before, we still have it up because it is much better to take Cody out in the winter on that(with the indoor/outdoor carpet on it, versus icy steps.
