There is something wrong with Barbara's 10 percent feeding formula. What is "regular" and what isn't. Does this preclude giving your dog a varied diet. If you made the most regular thing veggies - therefore would you only give him/her 10 percent of meat. Giving your Corgi more than 10 percent of carrots seems very reasonable to me. Or more than 10 percent of cooked brown /wholemeal rice or more than 10 percent of a mixture of veggies and fruit and so on. I believe in introducing new food to puppies on a graduating scale.
Supplementing your Corgis meal with almost every vegetable and fruit imaginable is an excellent idea. There are only a few exceptions with veggies and fruit that can be toxic to dogs. These have been previously documented on Go Corgi.
