Some wonderful neighbours of mine called me last week to say they wanted to do something in honour of Riley. I live in an apartment and they have a house with a big fenced in yard a block away. They are having a BBQ wake for Riley on Sunday afternoon to celebrate her life and the friends we all have because of her. We will raise a glass in honour of my little girl, but we will also be celebrating all of the dogs we have in our lives and the joy and love they bring to us.
I will be thinking of all of you then, for the support and kindness you have shown me and will raise a glass to all of you and your lovely dogs. If you think of it Sunday, please give your dogs a hug and let them know how much they mean to you. (You are most welcome to raise a glass too!
