I'm convinced that different dogs have different reactions to food as far as what they discharge at the other end.
My present Corgi and my last one had pretty identical diets and yet with Taylor I have only had to hose his bottom several times in the three years I have had him. Yet with my previous fellow, he had to be cleaned up at an average of once a fortnight. But it is good to get into a habit of checking their bottoms after they have toileted so that if any sloppy feces is present, the Corgi can be cleaned up immediately on the return home before there is any build up over a period or before anything hardens up and becomes "caked," and of course, before they are allowed back inside the house.
