Chip has been a joy to me since Digger passed as I have said many times, he doesn't replace Dig, he just helps me get through. Many people couldn't understand me getting a new pup so soon but I couldn't stand the emptiness without him - very hard to explain especially because we had 2 other dogs at the time but it was the best thing for me. Lady, who is a corgi mix and was Digger's companion is aging rapidly since Dig has been gone. She is between 13 and 14 years old. You are doing exactly the right thing and T-Gal said it all.
