A few things to add to this....
I think Corgi pups come with a grace period! My Tucker never really shed a whole lot until he was about a year old. Now I use a Furminator (undercoat rake) and if I don't do it at least 2 times a week, when I go to comb him I could almost make a 2nd dog.
Tufts: Tuck has never "tufted". I was actually looking forward to pulling tufts! Bummer.
Both Tuck and Lulu have predominantly black coats. Tuck doesn't seem to know enough to find the shade. Lulu, always in the shade. I will push Tucker towards shade and when I touch him, I am amazed how hot is black fur gets. But he really doesn't seem to notice.
Love the idea of a groomer pulling up in the driveway. Wish we had that here. I swear I was the last person to find out about our self serve dog washes. You go in, they have the elevated groomer tubs, you can brush them out, wash them, and use their high power dryers. They ask you pick up the obvious hair but it's their drain!!!! One in the area is called "Dunkin Doggies" - kind of a spook of the Dunkin Doughnuts chain!
