If Sassy is a fluff and you live in a hot climate, it would be totally in keeping with Corgi management and ethics to trim Sassy a little. If her hair stands out more than say a Rough Coated Collie or a Shetland Sheep Dog ( Sheltie), then it would further be entirely acceptable to trim the parts which are fluffed. Don't bath her every two weeks - the minimum is once every three weeks.
