Debbie,

Thanks for the info - I am going to check Hubby's calender for the Tenn. picnic (he's a shift worker) to see if he's home that weekend. When we go somewhere new I'd rather be the navagator than the driver the first time out.
I love to look at the new and let him worry about the details

I checked all the web sites you gave and have put them in my favorites for future references. The pictures for Tenn. were very fun - everyone including the furry ones seem to be enjoying themselves. The black one featured on the homepage was very cute and what I envision Chloe to sort of look like when she is full grown.

Michael, I ask about well-behaved mainly because when Em was a year old a friend invited us over to visit her and her lab. The lab wasn't on a lead when we stepped into the driveway she broke away from my friend and almost had Emma for lunch b4 Hubby rescued her! It was upsetting for me and my friend and Em. The lab was put up - her other dog were fine with Emma around. My friend apologized for months.

I don't think any of us are upset with dogs who are barky or shy or overly playful or even guarding the mustard. We are all dog people - but no one wants to put their corgi in harms way. Of course the only way to socialize our corgis are to be in social setting. I would hope owners wouldn't bring their dog to an outing knowing their pet couldn't handle the pressure without taking precautions. Like the case of the one lady who had her corgi muzzled and sitting a little away from everyone - she was taking baby steps to bring her pet around others without undue stress to her corgi or danger to others.
Maybe this year her corgi will be able to socialize more.

I am looking forward to hearing more about the NC meeting too.

thanks!
