Wow, what a sad story. I like Michael's response but I'm a little short on bail money right now so Assault isn't the way to go this month.....
What do you do? If this family could find their way to Petsmart, could they possibly find their way to a shelter? What went thru my mind was if they didn't find a taker at Petsmart, I bet they dropped the poor thing off along some road on the way home.
I wonder what would happen if they walked up to the manager or an em-ployee of Petsmart and tried to give the dog away? I bet they wouldn't know what to do.
I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family run pet supply store that is equal distance from my house as Petsmart is. These people work hand in hand with a local rescue organization for both cats and dogs. If this had happened at their store, I know they would have taken the dog.
But at Petsmart, the big chain, I doubt an employee would have taken him/taken responsibility. This just further reinforces why I need to make my purchases at the family run pet supply store.
