I voted yes also.
At the very least, you would want to make sure that they had proof of testing done on the parents, that the pups have seen a vet, etc.. All you have to do for a dog to be AKC registered is fill out a form. Just because a dog is "purebred" doesn't mean it's a healthy, good quality, example of the breed. That's why I waited to get Jackie from a breeder that was a member of the PWCCA.
