I have to say I LOVE my Dyson vacuum as well. With two dogs in the house, both of which shed a lot I use it daily on top of grooming. I wasn't quite so vigilant until my son started playing on the floor.. but it is SO nice having a vacuum that will actually pull the hair out of the carpet! I think if I had to I would pay double for a Dyson.

Also... diet most absolutely plays a big part in how much a dog sheds. I used to just feed regular grocery store foods to my dogs. When I switched to a better brand that I had done research on it made a huge difference in their shedding. It was especially noticable in Cheyenne... she went from constantly having "tufts" to only getting them on occasion. Now, don't get me wrong... a shedding dog will always shed, there is no way to stop it, but a really good diet, in my experience, can cut down on the amount of hair that is shed.
