Well, since I was the one who was advocating for a puppy, when my husband suggested a name I JUMPED on it!!
I figured that meant HE was interested TOO!! I had been referring to the "potential puppy" as "Zelda" but was not getting a lot of familial support ....Actually, I think the name Chloe sort of came from the TV show "24", which we were feverishly involved in at the time. The Louise part of her name - I don't actually know why I added that
. And this space is entirely too small to add all the silly nicknames we call her! "Chlo-ears" "Fritzy"
"Skritch"...the ridiculous list goes on and on!!
Our first dog (a tri colored Corgi-mix) was named for the P.D. James character Lord Peter Wimsey - again my husband's choice (I REALLY had to negociate for that puppy!
soI was willing to name time ANYTHING in order to bring him home!)
Barbara, I have a name already in the wings for our "next puppy", too! "Arthur" - altho my daughter wants "Jack"!
BTW, I love this thread and am anxious to hear more stories!
