We struggled with what to name "Cody" and actually had considered Dudley, Duncan and Dewey. I wanted Dewey, but the rest of the family came up with Cody - his name given by the breeder was "Forrest", which I actually like, but was trying to picture myself calling him that.
I had read somewhere where it is good to give a shorter name with an "E" sounding at the end - so my pets were Betsy, Billy, Ernie, Willie(a past dog),& now Cody - but my other cat is Owen(so I did not follow suit there)
I have enjoyed hearing all the names that everyone has given their pets.
However, not in regards to Corgis, if I get two cats again, I think I will name them Squiggy and Shirley,(from the show Laverne and Shirley); or maybe a Corgi named Squiggy?
would not be so bad.
