I chose Abby because this time I wanted a definite female name as my previous pets names have all been ambiguous.
Also, as I knew I would be discussing my problems with her, then it would be very appropriate for her to be named for the 'Dear Abby' column.
Previous Pets who were female, but everyone thought they were male because of their names.
