Sorry, just saw your question. I am now feeding Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul adult formula to Checkers and senior formula for Cheyenne. Just with this last bag I have started to try Cheyenne on a different food (Nutro Naturals Senior) because we were so short on money... but she will go back to the Chicken Soup as soon as we can. It has really made a difference for her back issues also. Checkers has never had anything but the Chicken Soup and I LOVE his coat. He is so silky and shiny and doesn't shed near as much as I know he would on a lesser diet. There are other foods out there that I would also be willing to try. My main rule of thumb in picking out dog food is look at the ingredients. If anything other than a pure meat source is listed as the first ingredient I put it back. If by-product is listed in the top 10 ingredients I put it back. Those are the rules I go by. Here is the link to the ingredients in the Chicken Soup regular adult formula... heck.. I could live on this stuff if I needed to. That sure makes me feel better about feeding it to my dog!
