breeders

Okay, as some of you know I was considering getting a pembroke but now have decided on a cardigan. I have located some breeders who have puppies. I spoke with Jacque Chapman in California a week ago. She has a 3 week old litter. I asked about coming out to visit and she said she would get back to me about setting that up. She has not yet but I thought the puppies may still be too young. I also have emailed Betty Ann Seely in Arkansas a lot. She has responded and sent me a picture of a puppy who is now 7 weeks old. But she has not answered some of my questions. I would like to know about or see pictures of all of the puppies. I asked about hip and eye problems and about if we get a comapnion dog if she will give us information on why it is not show quality. She did not answer these questions. Also, I expected her to ask more about me and my family. Is it normal for breeders to not get into these details early on? Am I just too excited about wanting the puppy so I'm getting concerned. I just want ot make sure we get a good puppy for our family.
