Well, I too have been thinking about winter coming ( no no nooooooo!!!)

Last year, I did buy Dillon a fleece coat, which he wears, but honestly i think he was happier to play in the snow without it. I also invested in muttluk boots for him. The problem with them is that it is hard for him to walk normally in them. He ends up tripping on his front feet and falling on his face. the back foot boots end up slipping off in the snow becuase of his narrow back feet. Basically while they are designed to protect his feet from salt and ice - he HATES them and it becomes more trouble than it is worth. This winter, i will let him run around naked! he likes it better that way. Last year we got one snow storm that dumped 31 inches of snow on us... Dillon LOVED it- snow is his favorite thing ever- not mine for sure.
Linda, we had a few days last winter that were -7 degrees with a light wind, it was awful for me, but dillon seemed to be completely unphased by that cold snap and he was not wearing a jacket...I am not sure i would have walked him two miles in that cold ( mostly because i am not sure I would make it) but i did walk him 3/4 of a mile in it ( before i lost feeling in my hands and feet and decided that he was done! LOL!!!
